Reactivity can cause owners to feel shame and embarrassment and can put strain on the relationship between dog and owner.
At Smart Dog Training we specialise in reactivity. Reactivity packages consist of 5 1:1 sessions starting in a controlled environment where we help your dog to extend their comfort zone so they can feel calm and safe in the company of other dogs and make sure you as the owner feel confident. We then move our sessions into the big wide world.
After you’ve completed your 5 sessions there are also skills classes to attend so that you can continue practicing your skills and feel supported.
We are very thorough at Smart Dog Training and we are also very aware of the fact that up to 80% of reactive dogs have pain related issues. Therefore we insist that all dogs have a pain assessment prior to reactivity sessions. Pain assessments are carried out by McTimoney Therapist Claire Lawrence.
